As long ago as the 1960’s, Claude Dubois created the profession of Wine-Nurseryman, a profession taken oven by his daughter Claudy and his son in-law Patrick. -
A little reminder, to help to understand this vocation :
At the end of the 19th century, the entire French vineyard was devastated by a terrible disease called phylloxera. It is caused by a type of aphid which attacks the wood of the grape plants and kills it.
This scourge was catastrophic for the entire wine-growing industry and reconstruction was only possible thanks to the procedure of grafting. [read more...]
